Seven steps to beautiful instant Easylawn
With the right preparation, EasyLawn can transform your outdoor space in just a few hours. Follow these simple steps to ensure your turf takes root quickly, grows evenly, and delivers a lush, long-lasting lawn you’ll enjoy for years to come.

Prepare the site

A healthy lawn starts with a clean foundation. If your site has weeds, spray the area thoroughly with Roundup (or a similar weed control product). Be sure to cover the entire surface evenly and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for best results. Once sprayed, leave the site undisturbed for 3–4 weeks to allow the treatment to fully kill off weeds and their roots. This waiting period is important — it ensures unwanted growth won’t come back and compete with your new EasyLawn. During this time, avoid cultivating or disturbing the soil so the treatment can do its job effectively.
Cultivate the soil

Cultivate thoroughly to 100mm. If your soil is poor quality call us for advice.
Level the ground

Level area with board, add soil if necessary to fill low spots. Height should be approx 20mm below concrete paths and patios to allow for EasyLawn.
Consolidate the area

Consolidate the area by trampling with feet or a light garden roller. Never use a heavy roller.
Rake lightly

Rake lightly for final levelling. Any undulations will be accentuated by the EasyLawn.
Roll out EasyLawn

Roll out EasyLawn starting from a straight edge, stagger edges in 'brick work' pattern and tightly butt all edge
Water your lawn

When laying is complete water until thoroughly wet through. Roll lightly or consolidate joins with the back of a rake while still moist.
Important
- Keep well watered for first 3 weeks after laying until lawn is well established. If the joins open up, the lawn is too dry.
- Avoid keeping EasyLawn rolled up as it will dry out and deteriorate quickly. If laying is delayed, stack in a cool place, keep moist and cover from the sun.
- Do not mow until grass has reached height of approx 30mm and set the mower height to 20mm. Remove clippings, especially in early days of establishment.
